You will be assessed for an NVQ on site/at work. An assessor comes to observe you at work and ask questions during a typical day; you shall then be assessed on your knowledge, performance and experience. Your assessment could also be conducted via distance learning (video conferencing and picture evidence could be relied upon*). You do not have to leave your workplace; we come to you.

We shall also need to have a professional discussion with you and your manager/supervisor may be required to give a professional reference for you.

We run most plant operations NVQs to turn your Red Trained Operator CPCS card to a Blue Competent Operator CPCS card; this is a simple assessment that covers three units only. Our most popular NVQs cover Slinger Signalers, Traffic Marshals, Hoist Operators, Dumper & Roller Operators, Telescopic Handler operators, etc.

Our Level 2-3 Construction NVQs course assessors are qualified and experienced Plant operators or trades practitioners with years of hands on experience. Consequently, there is hardly a situation you can present that they may not have come across in their professional experience; language barriers, dyslexia etc. should therefore not hinder your progress! The NVQ assessment is about your ability to perform your role NOT your ability to read, write or speak English!

For plant operations NVQs that are used to turn Red Trained Operator CPCS cards to Blue Competent Operator CPCS cards, this can be achieved within 4-10 weeks depending on how much effort the candidate is putting themselves.
